Celebrate International Angelman Syndrome Day - Movies Enjoy & Afternoon Tea Gathering for Lunar New Year

HKASF answered the International Angelman Syndrome Day by taking small angels and their families to a movie for the first time. It was also the first time to invite guests to participate. With the generous commitment and response the whole event came to a success with laughter and applause!

A total of 118 people participated. They came from the AS families, friends and relatives, HKASF consultants, the cabinet, volunteers and supporters, as well as guests from social welfare sector and disabled groups. We are grateful for their support as it started a new prelude on social inclusion for angel families.

HKASF will continue its efforts to take small angel families into the community through different activities and channels in the future. The participation and organization of more public events are useful to make people in the community more aware of Angelman Syndrome and to understand more about of rare genetic diseases.
