The Hong Kong Angelman Syndrome Foundation has been set up for nearly two years and has experienced countless tests and challenges. Reviewing more than 80 projects over the past two years a sea bead that has never been exposed was found.

On May, 2016, Joson Chan, HKASF Founder, was invited as a guest speaker in the Hong Kong Life Insurance Manager Association Management Seminar GAMA Convention 2016.

Being not fully prepared and needed to perform in front of more than 2,000 audience for 40 minutes, dead air, poor singing performance showing lack of experience on stage were indeed inevitable. To be honest, the performance was not that good and as there were editing and production problems afterwards the video clip was being put aside.

To take care of angels with moderate to severe disability are not easy. Sometimes we even need to face some moments asking ourselves if we are willing to expose our bad part to the public. The courage to accept, and to face may not change the results, but by putting aside the complaints and comparison, and adhering to the faith with good attitude, there are always reasons for us to strive hard and succeed.

It is always the sincere sharing that can move people, and we are grateful to the guests on that afternoon that give us great support and encouragement. A 40-minutes talk raised nearly $60,000 for HKASF.
